Audience Feedback.

We showed our thriller opening sequance to a sample group of our target audience and got them to fill in a questionairre regarding our sequance. 82% of them said they wanted to watch the rest of the film and 18% said that they did not.

Those who did not like it were then asked to fill in a section with any of their suggestions regarding improvements for our sequance. Some people said that they enjoyed the first half of the sequance, yet did not fully understand the transition into modern day. Some of them said that they thought that the film had gone back in time rather than forward.

Another regular responce was that the lack of music weakened the scene and it was said that of music was added the scene would have possibly been more tension and therefore strength.

Those who did enjoy it were then asked what they thought strengthened the scene and the majority of the group said that they thought the sepia tint which gave the first half of the scene and older feel strengthened the scene and helped to draw the audience in and create and athmosphere.

The acting and voice overs were also highly praised and said that the costuming and voice work (accents) once again gave a sence of athmosphere and set the scene well.

The after effects used to create the title card was also said to be benifial as it was said to make the sequance stand out from the others that they had seen. And therefore made it one of their favorite.

This was the sample group that we used to compleate the surveys on our sequance.
